The snowfalls in the east of Austria have led to congestion and accidents. The Viennese outer ring highway is again passable after a three-hour lock this morning. From 5.00 clock a driving ban for vehicles over 3.5 tons had been imposed. The snowfalls have also led to numerous accidents. At Langenlois (Lower Austria), a car driver died after a collision with a truck.
On Monday shortly before 8.00 clock the suspension of the A21 has been lifted, said the Asfinag. Because of the snow, motorists have to expect enormous time losses and traffic jams in early Monday, according to ÖAMTC. Even accidents occurred, including in the northern Weinviertel motorway (A5) Height Wolkersdorf North and South motorway (A2) Height Wiener Neustadt.
